During the Mid-Autumn Festival this year (15th August of Chinese Lunar Year), I received a box of Hello Kitty mooncake. This was produced by Maxim (a well-known cake shop in Hong Kong) and comes in a set of:
- a cylindrical tin can of Hello Kitty theme
- four mini Hello Kitty face template mooncakes of two tastes - red bean and lotus seeds
- a Hello Kitty theme carrying bag with Hello Kitty's mom and dad together with her sister Mimmy sharing mooncakes under the beautiful full moon and three Hello Kitty lanterns (a traditional Chinese decoration for Mid-Autumn Festival) - How sweet and homely!
This is the first time such Hello Kitty theme is used in a mooncake and is very cute and lovely. The mooncakes are really yummy!
I hope that I have a chance to share with you all again another Hello Kitty theme Mooncake in the Mid-Autumn Festival next year.
